Jane Corrigan
-
Jane Corrigan (b. 1980) is a Brooklyn-based artist whose narrative paintings sequence the psychologies of fictional protagonists. Idiosyncratic characters and anxious iconographies emerge in brisk environs and fin de siècle palettes, expressing combative tensions, internal complexities, and entrapments of time. Corrigan’s work feels at once familiar and fantastical and often draws adolescent protagonists who are on the cusp of early adulthood, creating slippery parables that are unrooted in time and place. Corrigan has exhibited internationally and is represented by Pangée (Montréal).
