Nicholas Bierk (b. 1985 Peterborough, ON) lives and works in Toronto (Canada). He paints transitional moments, everyday scenes, and ethereal landscapes, creating psychologically charged and emotive works. Bierk studied painting at the Rhode Island School of Design (USA). His work has been exhibited in Canada, the United States, and Europe–namely at Pangée (Montreal), Katharine Mulherin Gallery (Toronto), Zero Zero (Los Angeles), Cassandra Cassandra (Toronto), Clint Roenisch (Toronto) and Patel Brown (Toronto). Latest solo exhibitions include "Midnight," Pangée, Montreal (Canada); and "A Distant Light," Patel Brown Gallery, Toronto (Canada). He is the son of Canadian painter David Bierk and brother to Jeff, Alex, and Charles, also artists.
