Exhibition: February 25, 2021 – April 10, 2021
RELATIVE STRENGTH
The Haunting was unusual
And stalked up from the basement, solid as a
If it’s flipped it’s worth twice as much
The spectre has all but vacated the premises
Mouths that no longer talk, catering to
Bodies with no tangible needs
To get better at the game, you just
Have to do more playing
(“Well underwater nationwide”)
During the game itself.
(The entry points obviously hidden, obviously
Only localizable from within the courtyard)
Deities of the Sun, Deities of Rust
Pulling the notches in
Shaking the floorboards
This is not some ordinary Possession
Unlike the weed, it cannot simply be pulled out
(—You’re just looking at the numbers.
—I’m just looking at the numbers!)
Resolutely putrid, our bleached ghost is
Decidedly more than just frightening
Forcing its way through a different path
Clamping the gap, widening
(Some have said: “I don’t really want that.”)
(And that uneasy laugh.)
